Hello.
I'm Jamie Toyama, a brand and UI designer with over 20 years of experience. Throughout my journey, I've collaborated across different industries, working with various clients. This diverse experience has fostered a focused design approach and an adaptable mindset that leaves a lasting impact on clients.
I specialise in digital design, but I thrive on cracking tough design challenges and finding intuitive solutions. I've successfully partnered with a wide range of businesses, trades, and charities, delivering successful brands that leave a memorable impression.
I fell in love with design at an early age, graduating from university in the early 2000s and beginning my career as a Graphic Designer in an advertising agency in Melbourne. I honed my skills in print, particularly in the corporate and retail areas of design.
I spent about 5 years travelling and working in the UK for Transport for London (TfL). Working at TfL enabled me to contribute to unique projects that included London Overground, Oyster Card, and London Buses.
With a passion for user-centred design, I have focused more recently on digital/product design. I possess a broad range of skills, and have worked with people from various industries. I’ve successfully designed memorable experiences for various brand identities, websites, marketing campaigns, digital products, and promotional merchandise.
I specialise in creating designs that align with your values, are customised to your business, and leave an enduring impression on your customers. As a designer, I stand by these values:
Creativity, Empathy, and Innovation
Clear and consistent communication
Collaborative and consultative approach
Transparency and availability
Cultural awareness
Honesty and integrity
When I'm not designing, I find inspiration in the work of others at galleries, on social media, or while out and about. I'm passionate about photography, and I enjoy cycling whenever I have the opportunity. Additionally, I value spending quality time with my family and friends.
Don't hesitate to say hello. Jamie
